Mina Souvannasoth of Chanhassen and Derek Lavalier of St. Paul were married on Oct. 10, 2015, at the Edgewater Bay pavilion.

The bride is the daughter of Noi Souvannasoth and Mara Souvannasoth, both of Chanhassen. She graduated in 2012 from Concordia University with a major in theater.

The groom is the son of Cheryl Nelson and stepson of Dave Nelson of Albert Lea. He is a 2007 graduate of Albert Lea High School and a 2011 graduate of Concordia University with a major in theology. He works in fundraising.
