Offering blessings for the animals

- The annual Blessing of the Animals event took place Saturday at Frank Hall Park. The event is put on by the Choose Civility organization of Freeborn County. People in the community were encouraged to bring their dogs, cats, birds, lizards, rabbits, pot-bellied pigs, fish and other well-behaved pets to be blessed in a non-denominational ceremony. - Colleen Harrison/Albert Lea Tribune
