Let the children play outside in snow

Today, like any other normal business day, I drove by the Catholic school on my return from lunch around 12:30 p.m. Even though we have had some substantial snow flurries and excessive northwest winds during the morning, the children, as is the case most of the time, were bundled up and playing outside. How refreshing is it to see our youth out for recess, enjoying a blustery winter day versus stranded inside staring at the walls, or worse, a cellphone. I applaud the school and its administration for letting the kids get outdoors to enjoy the elements. I’m old school — let the kids play!
