Emmons veteran laid to rest 75 years after dying in Pearl Harbor attack
EMMONS — After 75 years, Glaydon Iverson has reached his final resting place, next to his parents in his hometown of Emmons.
The sailor’s funeral services were Saturday at Emmons Lutheran Church and Oak Lawn Cemetery.
Emmons Lutheran Church was filled with Iverson’s family, area veterans organizations, law enforcement and military members, elected officials and community members looking to pay their respects to a local hero.
A hero who — finally — has come home.
