FOREST CITY — Country music fans will be welcomed in Forest City for a four-day music festival during Memorial Day weekend.

Twenty different performers will take to one of the two stages for the Tree Town Music Festival at the Heritage Park grounds at 1811 Sage Court.

According to Dave DeWaard, one of the managers of the event, camping will be available for those who would like to stay on site. Options range from primitive campground spots to areas with access to 30- to 50-amp hookups.

For those who would like something a little closer to home, there is an option to rent a brand new Winnebago motor home during the festival. Campers who choose this option won’t be able to utilize the stove in the unit and must bring their own bedding, but will be able to enjoy the other amenities, such as the bathroom and showers. Depending on the unit, the motorhomes hold six to 10 guests.

“That’s really unique,” DeWaard said. “They come right off the Winnebago lot.”

DeWaard said he didn’t know of another music festival in the United States that offers that experience to campers.

Another option available at the event is a glamping experience. Those who would like to stay in a tent large enough to walk around upright in can choose from list of amenities meant to make sleeping in a tent feel more glamorous.

All of the camping options are listed on the Tree Town Music Festival website at www.treetownfestival.com. Those interested in utilizing the campgrounds are encouraged to book early, as some options of campground sizes have already been sold out.

DeWaard noted the campsites are all within a half-mile of the stage, allowing campers to watch the concerts, visit a number of food and beverage vendors on site or partake in other activities that will also take place at the festival, all within a relatively short distance.
