Lois K. Hamson, 78, a four-year resident of Holyoke, Massachusetts, and a 40-year resident of Waseca, died peacefully Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2016, at Windgate of West Springfield, Massachusetts, of natural causes.

Lois was born Nov. 6, 1938, in Albert Lea, the youngest daughter of Edna and John Colstrup.

Lois is survived by her two sisters, three children, two grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and her son’s wife and granddaughter.

Sadly, she missed the birth of her first grandchild by one month. Her family said, “She’s in spirit with us, now her remains will return home to rest next to her husband, Harold.”

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. May 27 at Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services, 109 Third St. NE in Waseca. There will be a graveside service afterwards at Woodville Cemetery.
