Funeral services for Norma O. Hensche, 90, of Alden will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Concordia Lutheran Church of Pickerel Lake. The Rev. Daphne Hamborg will officiate. Interment will be at Concordia Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Norma died Thursday, May 25, 2017, at her home.

Norma Ovedia Hensche was born June 12, 1926, in Albert Lea, the daughter of Otto and Nina (Bickford) Morreim. She grew up and attended school in Albert Lea.

On April 29, 1945, Norma married Arnold Hensche. She worked as a self-employed caretaker for many years. Norma was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church of Pickerel Lake. She enjoyed playing piano and playing cards with family.

Norma is survived by her children Larry Hensche, Paul (Bea) Hensche, Susan (Paul) Kleinschrodt, Phillip (Cathy) Hensche and Timothy (Jana) Hensche; 15 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Merton Morreim; and many nieces and nephews.

Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold; parents Otto and Nina; brothers and sisters-in-law Marvin and Darlene Morreim and Kenneth and Sarah (Bonnie) Morreim; granddaughter, Amy Jo (Hensche) Burgett; in-laws Albert and Anna Hensche; brother-in-law, Herbert Hensche; and daughter-in-law, Susan (Boyer) Hensche.

Memorials are preferred to Peace &Power, Mayo Clinic Health System Hospice or Concordia Lutheran Church of Pickerel Lake.
