The Northwood-Kensett girls’ golf team competed in the Top of Iowa East Conference tournament at Ridge Stone Golf Club in Sheffield, Iowa, that started bright and early Monday morning and finished late in the afternoon.

The Vikings finished third out of nine teams with a team score of 432.

Newman Catholic ran away with first place with a score of 389, and Nashua-Plainfield finished second with a score of 425.

On the individual leaderboard, Newman Catholic claimed the top three spots.

Northwood-Kensett’s Erika Heideman took eighth with a score of 103 and teammate Allie Carman tied Heideman with a 103 of her own to lead the Vikings.
