3 area teams to compete in trap shooting championship

The Alden-Conger clay target team will represent Class 5A, Conference 3 at the 2017 clay target league state trap shooting championships today in Prior Lake.
On the June 16, the Knights won the Class 5A varsity title in Alexandria. The team will represented by Mike Huper, Cole Rickert, Dalton Bradley, Seth Gilster, Luther Langrud, Luke Morrison and Calob Prange.
Huper, an eighth-grader, lead the team in scoring with a 98 and placed third among all varsity shooters.
Langrud, a sophomore, was the conference high gun and first-place male gun. Bradley finished third in the conference.
Alden-Conger will have three other teams in its class — Tri-City United, Rogers and Rockford.
United South Central and Glenville-Emmons will also be at the state meet. USC will represent Class 6A and G-E is in Class 1A.
Forty teams are competing at the state meet.
