Ellendale to host yearly community festival

Ellendale Days will return this summer for four days, starting today and lasting through Sunday.
This year, activities include a 2.5-kilometer run/walk for Alzheimer’s at 6 p.m. today.
Dan Stursa will perform from 8 p.m. to midnight on Friday behind the bar.
There will be a teen dance at the Community Center and a street dance at the Ellendale Liquor Store from 8 p.m. to midnight on Saturday. High Street Band will perform at the street dance.
The annual Ellendale parade will be at 4 p.m. Saturday. The parade will be followed by children’s turtle races and a children’s tractor pull.
An area fire departments softball game will end the festivities in the fields behind the bus garage at 12:30 p.m. Sunday.

All day: Rummage sale at First Lutheran Church
6 p.m.: 2.5k run/walk for Alzheimer’s sponsored by Ellendale Community Action Group
Friday
6 p.m.: Lions Club meat raffle at the Ellendale Liquor/Bar
6:30 p.m.: “All cash” bingo at the Community Center sponsored by Ellendale Community Action Group
Family movie night following bingo
7 p.m.: Announcement of The Ellendale Unsung Hero winner at the Community Building sponsored by Ellendale Community Action Group
8 p.m.-midnight: Dan Stursa Band behind the bar
Saturday
7 a.m.: All day rummage sale throughout town
8 a.m.-1 p.m.: Memories Car Club Car Show at the bus garage
8 a.m.- 7 p.m: Arts and craft show at Lonnie Misgen’s Truck parking lot
10 a.m.- 2 p.m.: Human fooseball at the lot south of the post office sponsored by First Lutheran Church
Noon: History tour of Ellendale at Cooleyville
4 p.m.: Children’s games behind the bank
4 p.m.: Ellendale Days annual parade
4:30 p.m.: Children’s tractor pull in front of the post office
5-7 p.m.: Annual Commercial Club pork chop supper at the Ellendale Community Building sponsored by the Commercial Club
9 p.m.- midnight: Teen dance at the community center sponsored by the Ellendale Fire Department
9 p.m.-midnight: Street dance at the Ellendale Liquor store
Sunday
10 a.m.: Community church services at the city park
11:30 a.m.: Tractor pull at the lot near the bus garage
