John Feeley, 1955-2017

Funeral services for John A. Feeley, 61, will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home. The Rev. Shane Koepke will officiate. Interment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery. John Feeley

John died Sunday, July 16, 2017, at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital in Fairbanks, Alaska.

John Alan Feeley was born Nov. 8, 1955, in Albert Lea, the son of James and Dolores “Dolly” Feeley. He graduated from Albert Lea High School and continued his education at ALTec for refrigeration. He worked at Crossroads Trailer for a brief time before moving to Montana, where he worked on semi-trailers. After a short time John moved to Fairbanks where he lived for the past 30 years, working as a diesel mechanic.

In 1985, John was united in marriage to Donna Joseph in Alaska; they later divorced. John met Donna Kennedy and together they had a daughter, Jamie.

John enjoyed fishing, camping, and playing pool, softball, darts and horseshoes. He also enjoyed coming back to Minnesota to visit family and friends. He remained an avid Vikings fan.

John is survived by his daughter, Jamie Feeley; mother, Dolores “Dolly” Feeley; brother, Jay (Laura) Feeley; niece and nephew, Nikki and Dylan Bartel; and several aunts, cousins and many friends.

John was preceded in death by his father, James Feeley; and brother, Michael Feeley.
