Duplicate Bridge
Seven tables played Duplicate Bridge on July 18 at the Senior Center in Austin.
Winners were Gene Mucho and Ron Peters, first place; Joyce Crowe and Millie Seiver, second place; Lorraine Quinlivan and Barb Rofshus, third place; Loren Cleland and Dave Ring, fourth place; Larry Crowe and Dave Solomonson, fifth place; and Edna Knobbe and Rick Stroup and Vandy Newman and Bud Higgins, tied for sixth place.
Six tables played Duplicate Bridge on July 19 at the Senior Center in Austin. The top winners won with over a 10 point lead. Winners were Gail and Ray Schmidt, first place; Vandy Newman and Ron Peters, second place; Larry Crowe and Jim Fisher, third place; Julie Prochnow and Lorraine Quinlivan, fourth place; and Loren Cleland and Bud Higgins, fifth place.
Seven tables played Duplicate Bridge on July 25. Winners were Gail and Ray Schmidt, first place; John Leisen and Rick Stroup, second place; Quentin Fiala and Jim Fisher, third place; Loren Cleland and Dave Ring, fourth place; Vandy Newman and Bud Higgins, fifth place; and Judy Bungum and Dave Solomonson and Barb Engebretson and Orrin Roisen, tied for sixth place.
Five tables played Duplicate Bridge on July 26 at the Senior Center in Austin. Winners were Loren Cleland and Bud Higgins, first place; Harriet Oldenberg and Chuck Borneman, second place; Lorraine Quinlivan and John Leisen, third place; Gail and Ray Schmidt, fourth place; and Barb Engebretson and Lorraine Lippert, fifth place.
Duplicate Bridge is played at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and noon on Wednesdays at the Senior Center in Austin. Players come from Rose Creek, Adams, Albert Lea and Austin. Those who would like to play and need a partner can call 437-2750. All bridge players are welcome to join in the weekly competition.
