Guest Column: Autumn in the Village is coming to the museum

The museum is full of activity this September. We are gearing up for Autumn in the Village from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 16. We will showcase our village to include old-fashioned photos, woodworking, live music and wagon rides. Exhibits and

demonstrations on corn grinding, rope making, weaving and spinning will be going on all day.

The food is always a highlight for the visitors that day. We will feature crumble burgers, hot dogs, apple pie, ice cream and the ever-popular sarsaparilla. Admission is $7.50 for adults, students 12 to 18 are $2 and members/children 11 and under are free.

September is our membership renewal/sign up month. If you purchase a membership for

2018 this month, the membership would be good September 2017 through December 2018.

A family membership is just $35 for the whole year. This membership includes anyone in your household. We offer other membership rates from $25 to $1,000. Please contact me to learn more about the different levels of memberships.
