Louise Weber, 1919-2017

Louise Eleanor Weber, 98, of Austin passed away peacefully on Thursday, Sept. 7, 2017, with her sons at her side at Our House Senior Living.
Louise was born Feb. 21, 1919, in Clarissa, the daughter of Anton and Josie (Kos) Krob. She attended school in Rose Creek and began work at Hormel Foods at the age of 16. Louise worked there for 46 years. On April 13, 1943, she married Lester W. Weber. The couple raised two sons.
A longtime member of First United Methodist Church in Austin, Louise was very active in her church and with the Western Fraternal Life Association Lodge No. 38 of Austin. Louise enjoyed spoiling her sons, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was the most giving person in both spirit and material.
Survivors include her two sons, Donald (Rosalie) Weber of Omaha, Nebraska, and Roger (Karen) Weber, Hibbing; five grandchildren, Annie, Josh (Katie), Joe (Leah), Travis and Kendra; six great-grandchildren, Kimberly, Candace, Tegan, Maya, Korbin and Elliana; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Louise is preceded in death by her parents; husband; and three siblings.
A funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Dennis Tamke will officiate. Friends may call one hour before the service at the church on Wednesday. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to the family or to the donor’s choice.
