Officers go through SWAT training Wednesday near Bancroft Park. They were simulating looking for someone in a wooded area with the aid of a drone. The local and regional SWAT unit is South Central Drug Investigation Unit, which consists of members from Albert Lea, Owatonna, Janseville, Freeborn County, Steele County, Faribault County, Waseca County law enforcement agencies and North Ambulance. They trained for fugitive apprehension on Wednesday, where a SWAT leader was the acting incident command and worked between the drone pilot and the radio to the team in the field. -
