Donna Jean Penny, 86, of Kiester died Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017, at Parkview Care Center in Wells. According to Donna’s wishes, a private funeral service will be held. The family respectfully asks that no flowers be sent. Memorials are preferred to Home Care

Donna was born Jan. 14, 1931, in Armstrong, Iowa, the daughter of Leonard and Selma (Johnson) Haukoos. She was baptized at South Blue Earth Lutheran Church and confirmed at Faith Lutheran Church. Donna was united in marriage to Jay Penny on July 23, 1948, at Faith Lutheran Church in Walters.

Donna is survived by her sons: Dan Penny (significant other Sara) of Osseo, Greg Penny of Red Wing, Tim (Sandy) Penny of Owatonna, Mitch (Cindy) Penny of Northfield, Joel Penny and Troy Penny, both of Kiester; daughter: Dena (Doug) Trytten of Kiester; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jay; grandson, Brandon; one great-great-grandchild, Raena Williams; sister, and brother-in-law: Shirley and Art Sauke; and daughter-in-law, Barb Penny.
