It’s the smallest things that take up the most room in our hearts.

Emmett Jean Noland, 6 months, 25 days, passed away peacefully wrapped in his mommy and daddy’s loving arms on Friday, July 14, 2017.

Emmett was the courageous son of Patrick and Jessica Noland, adored brother of Oliver, cherished grandson to Helen Havnen and Bev and Jerry Noland, joyous nephew to Brock Noland and Mac and Jenny Noland, playful cousin to Cam and Chase and beloved great-nephew to Kay and Alan Smith and Betty and Norman Kalvoda.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, William Havnen, who would have reveled in Emmett’s infectious smile.

With Emmett’s passing, his family reminds others that life is to be celebrated. A celebration of life gathering took place from 3 to 5 p.m. July 20 at Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4343 Nicollet Ave. in Minneapolis. Memorials made to the family will be given for the purchase of toys to other cardiac kids receiving care at The Children’s Heart Clinic.
