Golfing for the Gospel organizers thanked everyone who helped make the event a wonderful family and community event, according to a press release.
The release said while golf was a part of the event, the main focus was shared fellowship and support for local charities.
Albert Lea High School graduate Chrissy Monson also shared her inspiring story of how God helped bring her through some trials in her life. She talked about how amazing things happen when people live out the gospel and come together for the sake of the community.
Golfing for the Gospel raised over $43,000 to support The Arc of Freeborn County, The Salvation Army and Youth for Christ’s The Rock.
Representatives from Wedgewood Cove Golf Club, the three local charities and many local congregations helped organize and serve at the event.
