Winter weather advisory issued for Freeborn, Steele counties

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Freeborn and Steele counties, running from 1 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday.
A mixture of snow, rain and some blowing snow is expected.
Total snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches of snow are expected, mainly in the western portion of the counties, according to the Weather Service.
People should plan on slippery road conditions, including during the morning commute on Friday. Areas of poor visibility could be expected.
Winds expected to gust as high as 45 mph could cause areas of blowing and drifting snow.
