60 degrees on Black Friday? Minnesota breaks temperature records

If it seems warm (like really, extra warm), you’re onto something.
This Black Friday marked temperature records in at least two areas of Minnesota.
Early Friday, the Twin Cities hit 50 degrees for the first time this month, according to measurements at the international airport.
Then later in the day, temps reached 60 degrees.
St. Cloud set a record high for the day, too.
The lack of snow cover in southern and central Minnesota is part of why temperatures were able to climb so high, MPR News meteorologist Ron Trenda reported Friday morning.
However, the northeast part of the state isn’t so balmy. Rain was in the forecast for later Friday, and snowflakes could mix into the rainfall.
