Mary Ann (Sorenson) Geiger, 75, of Lakewood, Colorado, passed away suddenly Saturday Jan. 6, 2018, at St. Anthony Hospital in Lakewood.

Mary was born April 19,1942, in Albert Lea, to Norris and Hildred Sorenson. She graduated from Blooming Prairie High School in 1960 was employed by Security State Bank in Albert Lea and IBM in Rochester and Boulder, Colorado.

She met Ronald Geiger in Boulder, where he was a student at Colorado University. They were married June 20, 1970, at Community Lutheran Church in Geneva and made their home in Lakewood.

Mary is survived by her husband, Ronald; sons David of Wappingers Falls, New York, Micah (Angela) of Lakewood; daughter, Jennifer Geiger of Lakewood; grandsons Mitchell and Austin Geiger; one brother, Rodney Sorenson of Geneva; three sisters, Norma (Duane) Plank of Winona, Barbara (Eugene) Thomann of Littleton, Colorado, and Karen (Martin) Johnson of Geneva; along with many beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; infant brother, Ronald; grandparents Julius and Clara Sorenson and Peter and Helen Hanson; niece, Ann Broitzman; infant nephew, Kevin Plank; and father-in-law, Victor Geiger.

Memorial services are tentatively planned for Jan. 27, 2018 at Kingdom Hall in Morrison, Colorado. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
