Freezing drizzle, snow expected in approaching storm

Freeborn County and much of the surrounding area will be under a winter weather advisory this afternoon as another round of winter weather is slated to move into the area.
Light snow is expected to move into southern Minnesota later this morning, and according to the National Weather Service, the heaviest snow will be expected this evening, with snowfall totals ranging from 3 to 5 inches. There will also be some light freezing drizzle overnight.
People should plan on slippery road conditions and reduced visibilities at times.
The winter weather advisory will be in effect from 1 p.m. Thursday to 3 a.m. Friday, according to the Weather Service. Under the advisory, there could be difficult travel conditions.
