NEWRY TOWNSHIP — A shed was destroyed Friday morning in a fire in northeastern Freeborn County.

The fire, at 33330 875th Ave., destroyed tractors, vehicles, hay bales, a skid loader, four-wheelers and other property inside the shed. Two goats inside the shed were killed.

No human injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office and State Fire Marshal’s Office.

Blooming Prairie and Geneva fire departments, Blooming Prairie ambulance and police and Steele County Sheriff’s Office assisted on scene.

Online property records list Joseph Olsen and Penni Olsen as primary taxpayers of the address.
