I’m challenging all of us in Freeborn County to pick up after ourselves. If you smoke, throw away your butts. If you have plastic, either throw it away or recycle. In our downtown we have quite a few trash cans, and stores have trash cans and cans for butts, also.  This way not only we will keep our town clean, we will also help our environment. When we throw things on the ground, they won’t stay there, but will blow or wash away and harm wildlife or fish. Plastic disintegrates so slowly that it stays around so long.
