Letter: Thank you to educators and the community

As a grandmother of an eighth-grader at Albert Lea High School, I’d like to thank the A.L. Greater Education Project for their involvement in the Pathways career class. As any parent or grandparent knows, it is difficult to get a teenager to talk about a day at school. My granddaughter, however, seems to have plenty of comments and questions about the speakers who have been coming to class and sharing their career experiences. This often leads to discussions about the value of training, education, tuition costs and community involvement, as well as the importance of good grades and extracurricular activities. Thank you, Jean Eaton, for bringing this valuable experience to our students and for letting the community know ALHS is preparing our students well for the challenges they will surely face.
