ALDEN TOWNSHIP — A South Dakota man was injured Thursday after a crash on Interstate 90 in Freeborn County.

Jeffrey Dean Riles, 48, was taken to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea by Gold Cross Ambulance with at least one injury deemed not life-threatening.

Riles was driving a 2007 Ford east on I-90 when he lost control of the vehicle, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. The vehicle reportedly crossed through the median, went across westbound lanes and came to rest in the road’s west ditch at about 9:40 p.m., one mile east of the Alden exit.

Riles was wearing his seat belt, and alcohol was not a factor in the crash, the report states.
