Tires, rims stolen from Motor Inn

Thirty-two tires and rims were reported stolen from eight vehicles at 8:24 a.m. Saturday at Motor Inn, 2114 E. Main St. The estimated value of the tires is $38,400. A suspect has not been identified. Landscaping blocks from a local funeral home were allegedly used by the perpetrators during the theft.

Albert Lea Deputy Director of Police J.D. Carlson said though such incidents have occurred throughout the state, the location of the theft within city limits shows the audacity of the suspects. Anyone with information on the theft is advised to call police at 507-377-5215.

Thefts, damage reported

A U-Haul with a trailer enclosed was reported stolen at 1:26 p.m. Saturday at Raleigh’s Ace Hardware, 2525 Bridge Ave.

A theft of a wallet with $65 and debit and Social Security cards was reported at 3:40 p.m. Saturday at 204 McArthur Drive. A suspect was identified. The total value of the theft was $105.

An unauthorized prescription was reportedly filled using a doctor’s DEA number at approximately 6:35 p.m. Tuesday at Walgreens, 703 E. Main St.

A 1997 orange Mitsubishi Eclipse was reported stolen at 6:12 p.m. Saturday at 940 Bridge Ave.

A MirraCo Muse orange bike with white grips was reported stolen at 8:06 p.m. Sunday at 606 Garfield Ave.

Items were reported stolen at 6:27 p.m. Saturday at a rest area at 10818 Interstate 35, outside Glenville. The incident allegedly occurred Saturday morning.

A row of mailboxes were reported destroyed at 4:40 p.m. Sunday along Freeborn County Road 35 and 320th Street, outside Blooming Prairie.

A mailbox was reportedly damaged with a baseball bat at 7 p.m. Sunday at 77348 325th St. outside Ellendale.

A pop machine at a car wash was reported damaged at 10:15 p.m. Sunday at 100 S. Central Ave. in Hollandale. An unknown amount of money was taken.

A stolen back tab was reported at 1:29 p.m. Monday at 1402 Foothills Boulevard.

A purse was reported taken at 4:22 p.m. Monday at The Salvation Army, 416 Bridge Ave.

1 arrested for drunken driving

Albert Lea police arrested Amanda Lee Westcott, 24, for driving while intoxicated during a traffic stop at 11:02 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Broadway Avenue and West Ninth Street.

1 cited for violation

Police cited a juvenile for controlled substance possession at 11:40 a.m. Monday at Albert Lea High School, 2000 Tiger Lane.

Assaults reported

A patient reportedly assaulted someone at 7:40 a.m. Friday at HealthReach, 1705 S.E. Broadway Ave.

An alleged assault by a bouncer and a few other people was reported at 1:20 a.m. Saturday at The Nasty Habit, 134 W. William St.

5 arrested on warrants

Police arrested Ashley Danielle Cyphers, 33, and Candy Ann Ortiz, 37, on warrants and possible other charges after loitering was reported at 6:33 p.m. Monday at the Ramada hotel, 2301 E. Main St. Ortiz was taken to Faribault County.

Police arrested Alfredo Carrasco, 29, on Ramsey County warrants after a suspicious person or vehicle was reported at 8:01 p.m. Saturday at 701 S. Broadway Ave.

Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Jesus Bernal, 27, on a warrant at 10:20 a.m. Sunday at 318 Euclid St. in Alden.

Deputies arrested Derrick Jacqueay Roberson, 39, on a local warrant during a traffic stop at 12:35 p.m. Sunday on Minnesota Highway 251 in Hollandale.
