3 area fire departments train in vacant Alden house
ALDEN — The Alden, Conger and Freeborn fire departments conducted fire response training in a donated vacant house Saturday at 316 W. Main St. in Alden.
Firefighters took part in a series of drills throughout the house for training purposes. Alden Fire Chief Jim Thunstedt said the three departments trained together, as they routinely respond to fire calls together.
“It’s invaluable training,” he said. “Real-life training.”
