Representing the Mankato Symphony Orchestra, Chione will travel to Albert Lea Public Library and share children’s stories with live music and narration at 2 p.m. April 29, according to a press release.
The Mankato Symphony’s mission is to create emotion-packed, high-quality musical experiences and promote music education in and for south central Minnesota. More than 12,000 people attend the symphony in person and another 50,000 listen on the radio.
Their vision is to expand the audience for and appreciation of classical music in the greater Mankato area.
The activity is free and made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
