Walters man gets 30 days in jail for criminal sexual conduct

A Walters man who reportedly sexually assaulted a younger family member last year was sentenced to 30 days in jail Thursday in Freeborn County District Court.
Preston Allen Adams, 20, was sentenced after he pleaded guilty in December to third-degree criminal sexual conduct. He was sentenced to three years in prison, which was stayed for 15 years as he is under supervised probation.
He was given credit for two days served in jail.
Court documents state Adams was charged after a deputy was dispatched to a report of criminal sexual conduct Aug. 11.
Another family member reported Adams as having sex with the victim, court documents state.
