A rural Northwood man was injured Tuesday after a skid loader crash near Northwood.

Mark Haugebak was taken to Mercy Hospital in Mason City by Mercy Air Med.

The Worth County Sheriff’s Office received a call stating a Bobcat skid loader went into the ditch at the intersection of Iowa Highway 105 and Pheasant Avenue, west of Northwood, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Emergency crews reportedly arrived and helped extricate Haugebak.

As of Wednesday afternoon, Haugebak was listed in serious condition.

Northwood Fire Department and Mason City Ambulance assisted on scene.

The crash is still under investigation, according to the release.
