1 arrested for drug possession

Albert Lea police arrested Anthony Michael Whelan, 36, for fifth-degree controlled substance possession, possessing a small amount of marijuana and a local warrant after an arrest warrant execution was reported at 6:53 p.m. Tuesday at 814 Frank Hall Drive.

 

Thefts, tampering reported

A $28,651.50 altered check was reported at 1:48 p.m. Tuesday at 1103 Hershey St.

Approximately $100 in clothing was reported stolen at 5:58 p.m. Tuesday at Shopko, 2610 Bridge Ave. The suspects were described as three teenage white females.

A maroon and silver Next mountain bike was reported stolen at 1:24 p.m. Monday at 609 E. Main St.

A vehicle was reported tampered with at 3:53 p.m. Monday at 411 S. Broadway Ave.

Keys were reported taken from an apartment at 11:34 p.m. Tuesday at 133 W. William St.

 

1 arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle

Police arrested Cully Thomas Shierts, 20, for possessing a stolen vehicle and driving after revocation during a traffic stop at 11:35 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of St. Peter Avenue and Ramsey Street.
