Marian Bergeson, 1927-2018

Graveside services for Marian Bergeson will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Graceland Cemetery. The Rev. Mark Boorsma will officiate.
Marian passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2018, at Neighbors Nursing Home in Byron, Illinois. She was 91.
Marian was born May 13, 1927, in Staples to Fred and Hilda (Vinge) Bean. She grew up and attended high school in Brainerd. On June 13, 1950, she married Arthur (Art) Bergeson in Moorhead. Together they raised two children. The family lived in Austin for 10 years and moved to Rockford, Illinois, for 30 years, before spending their retirement years in Albert Lea. Marian lived with her son, Steve, and daughter-in-law, Deb, in Rockford the last two years of her life.
She worked for many years at Lloyds Hearing Aids in Rockford. She was a member of Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Rockford and Ascension Lutheran Church in Albert Lea. She enjoyed sewing, reading and family history.
Marian is survived by her brother, Robert (Carol) Bean of Rockford; son, Steven (Deborah) Bergeson, of Rockford; daughter-in-law, Sue Bergeson, of Florida; grandchildren Bridget (Chad) Markin of Winnebago, Illinois, Robert (Jill) Bergeson of Denver, Colorado, Bryan (Amy) Bergeson of Hoboken, New Jersey, and Amy (Kelly) Rose of Foxhill, South Carolina; great-grandchildren Layton and Landon Markin, Callie and Tanner Bergeson and Ava and Lia Rose; nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents Fred and Hilda Bean; son, Scott Bergeson; and sister, Doris Parker.
