If you live within city limits, Saturday is a great opportunity to take advantage of free and reduced prices at the Albert Lea Transfer Station and Demolition Landfill.

As part of Hometown Pride Cleanup Day from 9 a.m. to noon, the city is allowing city residents to dispose of one load of free household garbage, brush or yard waste and demolition debris.

There are reduced prices for other items, including the following:

• $10 per appliance, sofa or mattress

• $5 per furniture piece

• $3 per passenger car tire

There will be regular rates for all other items, including rims and e-waste.

Use this day as a chance to clean up your property.
