1 injured in crash

A Britt, Iowa, man was injured Friday in a rollover crash north of Ellendale.

Neil Robert Ausborn, 27, was taken to Owatonna Hospital with injuries deemed not life-threatening.

Ausborn was driving a 2004 Ford F-150 truck south on Interstate 35 when he lost control of his vehicle on snow- and ice-covered roads, causing the rollover at about 7 p.m. Friday in Summit Township, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

Ellendale first responders and ambulance and Steele County Sheriff’s Office assisted on scene.

Ausborn was wearing his seat belt, and alcohol was not a factor in the crash, the report states.

 

1 arrested on warrant

Police arrested Rex Emery Garr on a local warrant at 6:50 p.m. Friday at 621 E. 11th St.

 

2 arrested, cited for domestic assault

Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office arrested Soe Naing, 43, for domestic assault and terroristic threats after a report of a woman pounding on a door saying someone was following her was filed at 11:19 p.m. Saturday at 314 Hillcrest Circle in Clarks Grove. Naing was charged with felony threats of violence and gross misdemeanor domestic assault.

Albert Lea police cited Martin Harry Modderman Jr. for domestic assault after he reportedly threw someone he knew in the snow and smacked her across the face at 8:12 p.m. Saturday at 409 Court St.

 

Burglary, thefts reported

A $1,000 cashier’s check was reported missing at 12:08 p.m. Friday at 315 1/2 E. William St. A female suspect was identified.

A garage and sheds were reported broken into at 8:54 a.m. Saturday at 904 19th St.

A report of a vehicle being broken into with items taken was filed at 4:33 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Freeborn County Road 46 and 900th Avenue in the Oakland area. The vehicle, which was in the ditch at the time of the incident, was broken into after the owner returned to have it towed.

Someone reportedly threw a pumpkin through a window at 5:45 p.m. Saturday at 815 Minnesota Ave.

A car window was reported smashed at 9:14 a.m. Sunday at 820 S. Fourth Ave.

 

1 cited for drug paraphernalia

Police cited Corey Ryan Solberg for possessing drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop at 11:54 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Court Street and South Washington Avenue.

 

Drug sale reported

A Snapchat video showing a 13 year old selling drugs was reported at 8:54 a.m. Friday at 2234 Milo Ave.
