An Albert Lea man was killed Thursday afternoon in a rollover crash west of Oakland.

William Arthur Studer, 76, was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger in the vehicle, Elaine Penny Lieb, 80, was ejected from the vehicle and suffered life-threatening injuries and was later flown to Mayo Clinic-St. Marys campus, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

Studer was driving a 2002 blue Honda CR-V west on Interstate 90 when he reportedly suffered an unknown medical condition, drove off the interstate and into the right ditch, according to the report. The vehicle allegedly continued through a farm field, making a loop before vaulting over Freeborn County Road 46, rolling multiple times, ejecting Lieb, the report states.
