Sara Skrlin and Andrew Stern of Portland, Oregon, were married Sep. 15, 2018. They said their vows on the beach in Manzanita, Oregon, surrounded by immediate family.

The bride is the daughter of Dave and Sally Skrlin and the granddaughter of Bob and Bernice Moreau, all of Albert Lea.

Sara is a graduate of Albert Lea Senior High and Carleton College in Northfield, where she majored in biology. She graduated from University of Minnesota Medical School, doing residencies at Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield, Wisconsin, and Oregon Health and Science University Hospital. She is an anesthesiologist at Portland VA Medical Center.

The groom is the son of Warren and Carol Stern of Plymouth, Massachusetts.

Andrew graduated from Buchholz High School in Gainesville, Florida. He majored in computer engineering and filmmaking at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh and received a master’s degree in computer science at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. Andrew is a software developer at a startup company he co-founded, Playabl Studios.
