1 arrested for drunk driving

Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Michael Lee Elias, 37, for fourth-degree driving while intoxicated after a report of a Chevy Lumina in the median and the driver sounding either tired or intoxicated at 10:29 p.m. Tuesday on Interstate 90, four miles east of the Oakland exit.

 

Paycheck reported forged

A paycheck was reported cashed and forged at 2:31 p.m. Tuesday at 236 Holway St. in Alden. A suspect was identified.

 

Near train/vehicle collision reported

A report of a vehicle on railroad tracks was reported at 2:46 a.m. Wednesday at the intersection of 770th Avenue and U.S. Highway 65. A train reportedly stopped short of hitting the vehicle. The vehicle was moved off the track. It was unknown whether the vehicle was occupied.
