Community worship on Wednesdays during Lent

Through April 10, five area congregations will team up to present a Lenten series spotlighting the “I Am” sayings of Jesus found in the Gospel of John.  Ascension Lutheran, Christ Church Episcopal, Concordia Bear Lake Lutheran, St. Paul Lutheran in Conger and Redeemer Lutheran in Alden are all participating, with various community meals included. 

According to a press release, every Wednesday includes an 11 a.m. service at Ascension followed by a soup lunch.  Also on every Wednesday, Redeemer in Alden will host a 5:30 p.m. meal followed by worship at 7 p.m. 

On Wednesday and April 3, Ascension will host a 7 p.m service, in addition to those at 11 a.m.

On April 3, soup will be served at 6 p.m. and a service at 7 p.m. at Christ Church Episcopal and a 5:30 p.m. meal and 7 p.m. service will take place at Bear Lake. 

On Wednesday and April 10, St. Paul Church in Conger will host a 5:30 p.m. meal and a 7 p.m. service. 

Preachers include Judy Wozniak, Kristen Schlauderaff, Henry Doyle, Chris Boyce, Ken Jensen and Mark Boorsma, the press release states.
