Have you ever had a teacher who made a profound impact on your life or your children’s lives?
This week is the chance to let them know how much they meant to you during Teacher Appreciation Week.
Teachers put in long hours both inside and outside of the school day as they prepare lessons, grade papers and manage their classrooms.
They showcase skills, dedication and patience as they work with our children day in and day out, and more often than not, become not only good educators but also good motivators who help their students want to be their best. In essence, teachers become life coaches.
We thank the hundreds of teachers in our community at every level who impact so many lives, whether it be at the early childhood, preschool, elementary, middle or high school level, or at the adult level through the Adult Learning Center and Riverland Community College.
Send your teacher a letter, a card or a message of appreciation to let them know the impact they have, or simply say thank you.
Teachers are one of the building blocks of our community.
