The hillside slip ’n’ slide will be at Wedgewood Park from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Friday. The event is free, and attendees are reminded to wear their swimsuits and bring a towel.
3. Worth County Fair
The Worth County Fair is here, having started Wednesday and running through Sunday at the Worth County Fairgrounds in Northwood. Weeklong passes are $20, day passes are $10 and children 5 years old and younger get in free. Saturday will be veterans and seniors day, with admission being $5 for those parties. A rodeo, lumberjack show and demo derby are just a few of the events planned. For a detailed fair schedule, look to albertleatribune.com or Wednesday’s Tribune.

5. Project Earth
Looking for a soundtrack to get back in touch with Mother Nature? According to its website, Project Earth is “an experimental convergence between a music concert, a rainbow gathering, eco village and social justice alchemy.” The festival runs Friday through Sunday with two nights of music at Harmony Park. Proceeds from the event will go toward international relief charities. Families are welcome, and children 15 years old and younger can enter for free.
