Glenville to host city celebration this weekend

Glenville Days returns Friday through Saturday this year.
The fun starts Friday with a scholarship steak supper, an egg toss, a showing of “How to Train Your Dragon” and a street dance to cap the first day off.
Food vendors throughout the festival will be Tailgators, Mini Donuts and Mr. Taco along with pizza and other local food concessions in some instances.
The parade will be Saturday morning, with a soap box derby in the afternoon for children 9 years old and up with soap box provided.
Church of Cash will per- form that afternoon on Main Street, followed by a car show, pizza sponsored by the Glenville-Emmons volleyball team and a raffle at the Glenville American Legion. Radio Active will close out the night during a street dance on Main Street.
Sunday will wrap up the festivities with Dad’s Belgian waffles, which will be $8 or $5 for children 10 years old and younger.

11 a.m.-4 p.m.: Food concessions, park
11 a.m.-3 p.m.: Children’s games, ring toss and activities, park
Noon: Horse carol ride, children’s power wheels demo derby
1-3 p.m.: Bingo, park
1-3 p.m.: Soap Box Derby, near park
1-6 p.m.: Glenville Smoking Crew
2 p.m.: WFLA Lodge No. 44 Brick Hall bike giveaway
2 p.m.: Bean bag tournament, sign up at Tailgators
3:30-6:30 p.m.: Church Of Cash, Main Street
