Take a walk past any of the general exhibits at the Freeborn County Fair this year, and you can get a glimpse of the talent brimming in the county.

Whether it’s canned goods, fresh foods, artwork, quilting, knitting, flowers or anything in-between, there are a lot of people with many abilities in the area.

Hats off to anyone who took the time to enter the fair this year, to those who are tasked with organizing the entries and to the others who help judge. This is a big task but surely is one that is much appreciated.

The winners are printed each year in the Tribune’s Best of Fair special section, which is slated to publish Aug. 30.

We congratulate all the winners for a job well done.
