Hayward Days returns following one-year hiatus

HAYWARD — After a year hiatus, Hayward will host a city celebration this year on Saturday.
City-wide rummage sales will run throughout the day. There will also be a bake sale and raffle from 8 to 11 a.m. at Hayward Lutheran Church
At 3 p.m. the city will host an ice cream social at Hayward City Park. In addition to free ice cream, there will be face painting and games.
The Hayward Fire Department will host two fundraisers Saturday in Albert Lea.
Dueling pianos will perform at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Freeborn County Fairgrounds. A social hour is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. Tickets are available at the Albert Lea Convention and Visitors Bureau or from any Hayward volunteer firefighter. Advanced tickets are $35 and tickets at the door will be $40.

In addition to the dueling pianos show, there will be a gun raffle, which will include two separate drawings. The drawing will take place in the 4-H building at the Freeborn County Fairgrounds. Winners don’t need be present to win. Tickets are $10 and are available from Hayward Fire Relief Association members.
