Ashley Abbe and Leif Martinson were married Dec. 7, 2019, at Grace Lutheran Church. The ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Shane Koepke.

The maid of honor was Sarah Forbrook, friend of the couple; and bridesmaids were Vanessa Abbe, sister of the bride; and Nancy Workman, Dana Viswanathan, Melissa Falcon and Cassie Matthes, all friends of the couple. Other bridal attendants were friends Ashten Lorenz and Rachel Chunn.

The best man was Kelsey Martinson, brother of the groom; and groomsmen were Casey Arnold, Neil Belshan, Adam Bremer, Greg Ladwig and Kellen Kaasa, all friends of the couple. The ring bearer was Kai Smith.

The bride is the daughter of Giles and Stacy Abbe of Waterville and the granddaughter of Giles Abbe, also of Waterville.

She is a 2007 Riverland Community College graduate, where she majored in radiology and healthcare leadership and administration with certificates in mammography and computed tomography. She is a radiology professional.

The groom is the son of Brad and Pat Martinson of Albert Lea and the grandson of Gordon Martinson and the late Hazel Martinson, as well as the late Aldon and Kathryn Holstad (Hanson), all of Glenville.

He attended Minnesota State University-Mankato and graduated in 2007 from South Central College, where he majored in heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC). He is employed by Winsupply.

The couple will spend their honeymoon in Hawaii.
