Beverly Bidne, 1931-2020

Funeral services for Beverly L. Bidne, 88, of Emmons will be at 1 p.m.  Saturday at Emmons Lutheran Church. The Rev. David Schafer will officiate. Burial will be in Lime Creek cemetery in the spring. Beverly Bidne

Beverly Bidne passed away Saturday, Feb. 8, 2020, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin.

Beverly Louise (Honsey) Bidne was born Dec. 12, 1931, to Selmer and Ingeborg (Knutson) Honsey in rural Lake Mills. She attended rural country school and graduated from Lake Mills High School in 1949.

On Jan. 1, 1950, she married Maynard Bidne at Lime Creek Lutheran Church in rural Emmons, where she was also baptized and confirmed. They made their home in rural Emmons, where they were blessed with five children, 13 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

Beverly was a seamstress and housewife. She enjoyed fishing trips and traveling with her husband and family. She was the most loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her family and faith meant the most to her. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Maynard; five children, Virgil and Karen (Pinor) Bidne, Diane (Gale) Gray, Linda (Greg) Larson, Pat (Doug) Gavle and Jan (Scott) Leonhardi; 12 grandchildren, Meghan Dugan, Joseph (Jennifer), Benjamin (Emily), Lauren Bidne, Jennifer Cline, Lindsay (Jason) Shaw, Michael (Jessica) Bakken, Andrew (Angie) Larson, Sara (Bart) Berven, Lisa (Kevin) George, Ryan (Jennifer) Leonhardi and Kayla (Tony) Luevano; 27 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter; one brother, Harris (Leann) Honsey; sisters-in-law Pauline (Don) Osheim, Berdine Honsey and Mary Honsey; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one grandchild, Alison Bidne; and four sisters and three brothers.

Memorials are preferred to Lime Creek Cemetery Fund.
