Mary Ann Sistek, 89, died peacefully Sunday, Feb. 16, 2020, at Koda Living Community in Owatonna.

Mary Ann was born Aug. 19, 1930, in Freeborn County in southern Minnesota to Fred and Anna (Kycek) Sistek. She grew up on the family farm in rural Myrtle and later made Owatonna her home.

Mary Ann loved babies and children. She enjoyed music, playing piano, dancing, playing cards and visiting with family and friends.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews Steven (Sharon) Koester, Kevin (Nancy) Koester, Vicki (Gayle) Kuethe, LeAnn (Marv) Fendrich, Janelle (Mark) Behr, Danny (Julie Berg) Sistek, Nancy (Allan) Wesely, Gayle (Pete) Schneider, Sandy (Mike) Pence, Rick Sistek and Gloria (Mike) Kozel; two sisters-in-law, Doris Draayer and Phyllis Sistek; along with many grand and great-grand nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents Fred and Anna Sistek; her infant nephew; sister, Mildred Koester; brothers Freddie Sistek and Richard Sistek; and brother-in-law, Leroy Koester.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Koda Living Community chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Koda Living Community is at 2255 30th St. NW, Owatonna, MN 55060.
