On Feb. 23, the Albert Lea Just For Kix teams competed in the Together We Dance Competition at Eastview High School in Apple Valley. The event featured seven competing teams from Albert Lea, which included over 125 performers. The middle jazz group, pictured, received a second-place award. Middle jazz, mini lyrical and seventh-grade middle kick were awarded second. There were a total of 205 performances throughout the day, consisting of 1,547 dancers. Albert Lea Just For Kix is in its 24th year of performances and includes local area students 3 years old through 12th grade. The Just For Kix local director is Holly Rahn. Head instructors are Rachel Hagen and Shayla Heggastad. - Provided
