Dennis Lair, 1946-2020

Dennis Allan Lair, loving son, husband, father and grandfather, passed away at his home in Medford, Oregon, on Thursday, March 12, 2020, due to complications from pancreatic cancer.
Denny was born March 22, 1946, in Albert Lea to James “Pat” and Verliss Lair.

He served four years in the Navy during the Vietnam War before marrying Kay Wallace of Albert Lea in 1969. They lived in Willmar for 13 years, where Denny managed the Wallace’s department store.

In 1986, the Lairs moved to Medford and he began his career as a financial adviser.
Denny is survived by Kay, his wife of 50 years; son, Kevin (Jen) Lair of Bend, Oregon; daughter, Kristin (Erik) Peterson, of Medford; and grandsons Ethan and Jonah Lair, Lucas and Bennett Peterson. He is also survived by his father, James “Pat” Lair; and five siblings, Jerry, Tom, Mark, Linda and Loren. Denny was preceded in death by his mother, Verliss; and brother, Jim.
The family would like to thank Dr. Mujahid Rizvi and Asante Hospice for their assistance and compassionate care. Contributions in memory of Denny may be made to Rogue Retreat or ACCESS Food Share. Denny will be interred at Eagle Point National Cemetery in Eagle Point, Oregon.
