Police investigating gunshots fired
Police received a report of two gunshots fired at 11:53 p.m. Friday on Court Street.
Police said they responded to the area and could not find any shell casings.
The next day, at 3:22 p.m., they received a report that a person at 411 Court St. had a gunshot hole in the side of the house.
Police are continuing to investigate.
Man arrested for assault
Police arrested Ricky Allen Severson, 68, for fourth-degree assault, gross misdemeanor domestic abuse no contact order violation, fifth-degree methamphetamine possession, giving a false name to a peace officer and obstructing the legal process at 6:11 p.m. Sunday at 302 Mill St.
1 arrested for DWI
Police arrested Jeremy Matthew Catalano, 26, for reported driving while intoxicated and fleeing after receiving a report at 9:37 p.m. Sunday of a reported fight at 104 S. Ermina Ave.
Theft reported
The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office received a report at 11:18 a.m. Friday of two batteries that were reported stolen out of a backhoe at 10624 830th Ave.
A black and purple pedal bike was reported stolen at 4:45 p.m. Saturday at 400 E. Third St.
A 3-foot-by-8-foot canvas sign was reported stolen at 10:44 a.m. Sunday at 428 Crescent Drive.
Numerous items were reported missing from a storage unit at 12:03 p.m. Sunday at 601 Pilot St.
1 arrested on warrant
Deputies arrested Timothy Thomas Schilling, 31, on a local warrant at 4:52 p.m. Friday at 83068 Freeborn County Road 46 in Hayward.
Police arrested Chad Allen Hoyt, 47, on an EOD warrant at 10:35 a.m. Friday at 711 Ulstad Ave.
Vehicles rummaged through
Police received a report at 1:10 p.m. Friday of vehicles that were rummaged through on Wednesday at 1405 Cheryl St. A bowling ring was stolen.
3 cited for underage drinking
Police cited Carter Saul Gonzalez, 20, Grady Gage Studier, 19, and Alexis Lezama, 18, for underage drinking at 4:50 p.m. Friday at 2214 E. Main St.
2 cited for shoplifting
Police cited Nikki Rae Gesme, 40, for shoplifting at 2:34 p.m. Saturday at Walmart, 1550 Blake Ave.
Police cited Eronn David Swain, 45, for shoplifting at 2:26 p.m. Sunday at Walmart, 1550 Blake Ave.
Hit-and-run crash reported
A hit-and-run crash was reported at 5:13 p.m. Saturday at 900 Hammer Road.
Vehicle egged
A vehicle was reported egged at 11:13 a.m. Sunday at 1214 Sheridan St. The incident reportedly happened overnight Saturday.
